Freddie Steinmark: Faith, Family, Football｜ Other Products

Freddie Steimark was a fan favorite for the undefeated University of Texas Longhorns in 1969. In the thrilling national championship, Steinmark played with pain in his left leg. Two days later, cancer was discovered. Within a week of the game, the leg would be amputated. Steimark's struggle and following story would captivate not only Texas, but the country at large. Written with unfettered access to the Steinmark family and archives, Freddie Steinmark: Faith, Family, Football by authors Bower Yousse and Thomas J. Cryan is a exploration of a brief but full life, one that began humbly but ended on a grand stage. This books hopes to be a fitting tribute to a legendary Longhorn who's photograph flashes before each home football game at Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
