Hinch 5 Year Double Wood Irish Whiskey｜ Other Products

Hinch 5 Year Double Wood Irish Whiskey is the double-matured blend from Hinch Distillery in Ballynahinch, County Down. The whiskey spends four years in selected ex-bourbon casks and then a minimum of one further year in virgin American oak barrels, a second wood that adds depth, natural color and character. It is bottled at 43% ABV to maximize flavor. The bourbon casks give it a soft base of vanilla and honey; the virgin oak brings pronounced toasted wood, caramel and baking spice while the palate stays silky. It has more intensity than most five-year-old Irish blends and drinks well neat or in an Old Fashioned, where the extra oak stands up to sugar and bitters. This 750ml bottle is a good pick for drinkers who like their Irish whiskey with a little more wood.
