Elements of Islay Cask Edit is the accessible heart of the core trilogy from independent bottler Elixir Distillers, alongside the Bourbon Cask and Sherry Cask editions. It is a composition, or "edit," of refill, bourbon and sherry casks, marrying rich, smoky single malt from Islay's south coast with a fresher, fruitier style from the north of the island.Bottled at 92 proof, non-chill-filtered and naturally colored, in a 700mL bottle, Cask Edit balances drinkability and personality: peat smoke, sea salt and honey on the nose, then a rounded palate of orchard fruit, vanilla, gentle sherried dried fruit and a steady drift of smoke, finishing warm and coastal. It sips beautifully on its own and, at this price and strength, is one of the best Islay malts for a smoky Old Fashioned or a Penicillin cocktail.Buy Elements of Islay Cask Edit Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky online with fast shipping right to your door.
