Weekend Highlight｜ Other Products ｜Salvia microphylla - Mesa Azure

Soft, luminous, and beautifully refined, Salvia microphylla ‘Mes Azur’ brings exquisitely lavender-blue flowers to a compact, easy-growing shrubby sage. Forming a modest mound about 18" to 24" tall and wide, it begins its generous bloom show in late spring and continues with an endless array of 1" two-lipped flowers through the warm season.

Also known as Mes Azur Sage, this long-blooming salvia is perfect for sunny borders, cottage gardens, pollinator plantings, containers, and water-wise landscapes. Hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies love the nectar-rich blooms, while gardeners love the softer color, aromatic foliage, and manageable size. Pair it with yarrow, lavender, roses, ornamental grasses, catmint, and silver foliage for a fresh, romantic garden combination.

Plant Salvia microphylla ‘Mes Azur’ in full sun with well-drained soil and moderate water while establishing. Once settled, it is low maintenance, drought tolerant, and deer resistant. Light pruning encourages fresh growth and more flowers. Explore more beautiful sages in our Salvia - Sage collection.
